over 1 year ago – Thu, Sep 19, 2024 at 01:53:14 PM

Hey everyone! We hope everyone is having a good end to summer and enjoying the little hints of fall weather wherever they show up. We're loving it, but definitely not taking it easy. As always, we're constantly busy here are Wet Ink Games making sure we can keep projects moving, wrapping up open projects and keeping new projects moving.

Sorry there has been a delay in this project. We're moving forward as quickly as possible, and trying to make sure we're getting things right. Now that our Never Going Home project is lined up for fulfillment, this is getting the full attention of our RPG Publication efforts. We hope to have some good news in the next few weeks, as we're hoping to get this completed and in your paws.

Thank you to all of you who keep us going. It's always great to see our games out in the wild, so please keep sharing your pics of you and your groups as you play our games, see them in stores or being played at conventions, and even when you start getting your backer rewards. Find us on Facebook, Instagram, X, and we'll be growing our presence on Bluesky over the next few months.

HERD Coming Soon!

Although our RPG focus is now Garbage & Glory, and we've got our Never Going Home project lined up for fulfillment, we're still not slowing down here at Wet Ink Games. We're in the process of fulfilling our Zero Day War boardgame project, and getting our next card game project prepped. Click below to be notified when it goes live!

HERD: The Dinosaur Survival Card Game

In HERD, you take on the role of a herd of dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus or Triceratops and defend yourself against waves a predators! Each round, your herd will be threatened by the likes of Tyrannosaurus and Dilophosaurus. Use your Prey cards (sorry Pachycephalosaurus) to distract them and your Herd ability to out-fight them. As the clock counts down, will your Herd survive long enough to be remembered?

Production Update

  • The full manuscript is in first round of edits.
  • Next up is second round of editing, and quick playtest to make sure and mechanical edits recommended by the editor make sense and don't negatively impact other mechanical elements of the game. Most of the time, this is a formality, but we always want to make sure there are no inadvertent issues caused by the best intentions
  • The Graphic designer will then be laying the book out according to the style guide we created when working on the Free RPG Day offering
  • Dice and card art assets have one final revision being worked on by the graphic designer and are being sent to the manufacturer next week.

Garbage Deck Art
almost 2 years ago – Wed, May 22, 2024 at 05:52:57 AM

Hey all! We keep moving forward! We're doing some final testing and stuff before sending the text through the last round of editing and then to layout, but we also have been working on another development path for the final dice and card designs. We'll be able to show some more stuff (The Glory Deck) in the near future, but wanted to show you what will almost certainly be the final design for the Garbage Deck. The blue and green lines are print safety and bleed lines and will not be on the cards themselve. Check it out!
